Costa Rica information

I am sure many of us do not know a whole lot about Costa Rica. You may decide for or against this experience based on what you find out about this inconspicuous Central American country. Please visit these web sites to get some of this basic information.

A Costa Rica Introduction has some very simple info about the history of Costa Rica and some of its important ecological locations. Since 1/4 of Costa Rica is protected wildlands, there are many places of interest.

As usual, Wikipedia has alot of detailed information about the physical aspects of Costa Rica, its people, culture and history. I think this is a great place to visit to get the hard core details.

Pop Planet has many links to other sites and publications about environmental issues. Some of these sites and publications are in spanish but most are in english. Hunt around and you will find some useful information.

I will add more sites as time goes on but these should get you started and hopefully pique your curiosity enough to make you want to join us.

Welcome

Welcome to the blog dedicated to the 2007 Costa Rica experience for City High.

This blog will initially serve as a place to get information and ask questions. As time goes on however, it will expand to an experience our students can share with you. Throughout the year, we will begin to build a student team that will raise money and learn about the social and environmental issues that are important to Costa Rica. This will culminate in a 10 day trip to Costa Rica shortly after Senior Graduation in late June. Last year, the experience was a huge success. To get an idea of what they did and what they experienced, visit their blog here.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It will change your life. Join us and add a piece of you to the experience.

Post any questions you have here or you can ask Mr. Dubas or Ms. Bossert at school.
