A much needed update...

Well, judging from the amount of time it has taken to write a new post, you would think we havent been doing much. You'd be thinking wrong.

We will have 12 students participating this year along with myself and Ms. Bossert. That's up from last year so that is a good sign. Hopefully we can increase the numbers again for next year. These 12 students have already begun to prepare for our trip. Our first stop.... passports. Tough little buggers to get you know. Who would have ever guessed that your birth certificate was such an important piece of paper. But without one, it's tough to get a passport.

We have also begun fundraising for the remainder of the cost of the trip. This trimester we are going to paqrticipate with the school's regular Sarris candy sales and we will do our own fundraier next trimester. In addition, Ms. Bossert has been working hard to get corporate sponsors. Each sponsor will help lower the out of pocket cost for each student. Our first sponsor is Sustainable Pittsburgh. This is an organization that has cooperated with City High in the past and we welcome their continued support.
