32 more days

Well, we started a count down in school of the days until we go to Costa Rica and it is currently at 32 days. I am going to try to get a countdown posted on the side of the blog so that it automatically updates for all of you :-) . As we progress further towards the trip, we increase the amount of paper work we need to fill out and submit. Currently Mr. Dubas is working on the airplane tickets, while both Miss Bossert and Mr. Dubas are working on getting paperwork ready and submitted to the travel company and our travel agent who lives in Costa Rica. I can't begin to imagine the adventures and experiences that each and everyone in the group including our teachers will come across in this trip to a foreign country. Everyone in the class continue to learn about Costa Rica though articles about Costa Rica's history ranging to weekly Spanish lessons which are taught by Senora Kovarak. My classmates and I are beginning to form bonds with the people of Costa Rica through a pen pal program. I think the most interesting experience our class has ventured upon was a "lunch and learn" type of day, in which most students made a Costa Rican dish/drink; While we all ate (including some of the school staff outside of the Costa Rica trip) we learned about different aspects of Costa Rica including their history, culture, current political affairs and a myriad of other topics that both strengthen our knowledge and hope to become close to a country that is over 3,000 miles away. It was a true blessing for each and every student to possess the ability to go on this trip and a great amount of gratitude is extending to those who bestowed gifts to alleviate financial concern on the part of the everyone involved with the trip.

Thank you,

Joe
