Save the Animals and We Save Ourselves

Meghan talked about the two videos that we watched [which were awesome, we should watch more!] but to summarize them up is just that humans need ecosystems. Many diverse animals live in different types of ecosystems, and we need those animals and plants because in the end us humans will suffer greatly and start dieing off like the animals are.

Today (and yesterday) we are talking about the different types of conservations, which all have pros and cons. The six we came up with from the videos are:

1. Biological preserves
2. Public policy
3. Gene banks
4. Captive breeding
5. Ecotourism
6. Bioprospecting

Donavin and I are researching Ecotourism. We think it's awesome because it benefits the environment, the people, and the economy!
